I am a PhD. Candidate in Economics at The Graduate Center, CUNY and I am also Adjunct Lecturer at The City College of New York and External Associate Researcher at the Centro de Estudios Espinosa Yglesias (CEEY).
My research interests are at the intersection of development, labor and stratification economics, focusing mainly on social mobility and inequality of income and opportunities. I deeply believe that the economy does not operate in a vacuum, which implies that it is necessary to incorporate historical and institutional factors into the analytical framework which with we study the dynamics of distribution and production observed in the economy. This cuts through both analyses at the macro and the micro levels, as institutions shape the opportunity spaces and constraints in which individuals operate.
